District 80 LGMs Message for January 2011

Dear Fellow Toastmasters,
We are now half way through our journey together – only 5 months left until 30th June 2011.
It is time to review our performance, check progress for first six-month period and analyze results to determine if we have achieved our mid-year goals. If we have not achieved them, we need to adjust our strategies, revise our plans and determine mid-year action needed to make up deficits and achieve goals.
What have we achieved together?
Eight new clubs have been chartered, one prospective club will be chartered soon and many potential new clubs are in the making.
Do we have problems to solve?
Yes, we still have problems of unpaid clubs and weak clubs.
Whether we can really achieve our final goals depends on how much efforts we can put in during February and March. New clubs need to be chartered as many as possible by March 31 so that their members also will make dues payments for the April dues period.
It is time to promote Toastmasters International’s annual membership program.
Individual members receive recognition for sponsoring five, 10 or 15 members during the year.
Recognition is given to clubs beginning the year under charter strength and ending the year with 20 or more members. Clubs which demonstrate net growth of five members also receive recognition.
“Talk Up Toastmasters” membership campaign starts from February 2011 through March 2011. Clubs adding five or more members during this period receive recognition.
Congratulations to Toastmasters Club of Singapore, Capitol and SIM Students Toastmasters Clubs on achieving LGM 2nd Quarter Challenge.
