Happy Valentine’s Day!

February is the month full of love and giving because both Valentine’s Day and Chinese New Year fall in this month.

For Toastmasters, it is also the month for giving and sharing because it is when the “Talk Up Toastmasters!” membership contest starts.

During this 2-month “Talk Up Toastmasters!” membership contest, encourage your members to invite guests to your club meetings. Consider conducting a special guest meeting – where you conduct a regular meeting, but also specifically discuss the many benefits Toastmasters members receive as they participate in the program.

Check your guestbook record and invite back those who have not attended the club meetings for some time. Invite your ex-members to re-join the club.

Have a membership campaign in your club to find out the winners who can bring the largest numbers of guests and sponsor the largest numbers of members.

Add five new / reinstated members to your roster between February 1, 2011 – March 31, 2011 to receive a “Talk Up Toastmasters!” ribbon to display on your club banner.

Let us extend the Toastmasters’ many benefits to more people for the betterment of mankind.
