Dear Fellow Toastmasters,
In business and in life, the better we get at solving problems, the bigger will be the problems we will be given to solve. The bigger and more costly the problems we solve, the more money we will be paid, the more power we will have, and the higher position we will attain.
General Colin Powell once said, “Leadership is the ability to solve problems.”
Toastmasters organization provides us opportunities to learn how to become more creative and competent at solving problems, for example a club coach.
Most Toastmasters clubs experience a life cycle of growth, maturity and decline. A club with 12 or fewer members needs a club coach. At the moment there are 41 weak clubs in District 80 that need coaches. The task to rebuild a weak club is probably the most challenging Toastmasters activity that we can undertake because as a coach we must do the following:
A successful club coach will receive Advanced Leader recognition and recognized as a person who get things done. The experiences gained can enhance our leadership role in our business and our life.
Christmas is the time for sharing, giving and helping.
New Year is the time for reflecting and resolving.
Let us resolve to help our friends who are in need of help by volunteering to be a club coach or a club mentor.
