Dear Members of Division T - District 80,For many years, the District 80's official newsletters have brought you the reports of many special events, information on the upcoming happenings, updates of the divisions, and countless of useful articles.
For the first time, with your help, we would like to add one more dimension to it. We would like to make it more yours.
We realize that many joyful things happen right before our eyes but go unsaid at the district level. Some that seem too small to acknowledge at the big meetings, but really matter to our Toastmasters friendship circle. Like when our members become a father or a mother for the first time, or when a couple who met at a club meeting finally got married. When two members became business partner sor even something as sad as a long time member passing away.
We need these insights to make our newsletter more colorful, more connected to everyone, and more yours, and we are willing to dedicate many pages for these personal events. We need your help.
We would like to know mentionable personal events that happened to you or the people in your club last year such as
- the members who had babies (if both parents are Toastmasters, even better!)
- the members who got engage or married (if both are Toastmasters, even better!)
- the members who got promoted to the top management or started their own business
- the members who were on TV or newspaper (for good reasons, of course)
- the members who were acknowledged by other organizations for great accomplishment or contribution
- the members who won some other contests or made everyone proud
The goal is to recognize our personal memorable milestones. Therefore, anything that you think would accomplish this goal, we want it.
To make it more connected, details and pictures are more than welcome.
